Dreams (Session 4)

If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Your life has become an accidental progression of things. One event or experience is followed by another, but with no power, with no joy, with no fulfillment, with no particular relevance. Your life has become a shadow cast in unawareness. And this is because you have lost track of the first dimension, and you have not yet searched for the fourth. And now some days you have peace and other days you do not. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not there at all. It was there; somebody insults you – and it is not there. Somebody “steps on your toes” – and it is gone. Anybody can take it and destroy it very easily. You were perfect in the morning; an email, text message comes and something is in the email, something is in the text, and suddenly your entire day is bad. All is disturbed! A single word creates a great disturbance in you. You have become angry, bitter, and you have lost even the tiniest ray of hope. This is why you cannot grow beyond the third dimension. You are still looking for wars to fight. You are still looking for a job that will give your life meaning. You are still looking for a church or mosque that will bring your life to the threshold of salvation. You think that if you simply win the lottery and become rich your life will then have meaning. All is false! For if you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream. . .

God has already lived in 2009!  He knew we would be living in a downturned economy. He could foresee a job market that looked abysmal. So He fully understands why today it seems impractical to dream, but just the opposite is true. Now more than ever this society, this nation, this world needs your dream. But first you must surrender your darkness and your lifelong affair with this dimension. Then allow a single moment of God to arise through you and touch the earth with His dream. Because now even the works of Jesus are losing their meaning for modern science has replicated most of his miracles. If simply curing the physical eyes of the blind or making the lame walk is all God has to offer humanity today then sooner or later He will be forgotten. Fortunately, God has called us to do greater things than these. And this is why God is dreaming through you. God is challenging you. And those tests look like mighty mountains and strike you like mighty winds, but they are good tests that will prepare you for your dominion.

God is trying to get you to make something in timelessness. To make something beyond your consciousness, so death cannot destroy it. To make something built on rock, so all agony, all misery, all suffering and fear, all hell disappears. He is trying to get you to usher into this dimension beauty and benediction.

So don’t lose hope. . . keep Life moving. . . maintain the courage to be. . . and in spite of it all. . . still have a Dream.

Dreams (Session 3)

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up

like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore–
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over–
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

What happens to a dream deferred?

The world is never reborn. And hope shatters into a million fragments of floating miracles which pass through this dimension like dust from Eden that has not yet settled. This is because the Past, present, future, and the whole complexity of time revolves around you. And whatsoever you dream has something to say about the dimension of space and time. . . This is why birds making their nests on a tree are just dreams. Trees are dreams. Flowers are dreams. Rivers are dreams. And you too are a dream. You are God’s dream. There is a deep relationship; it is all one family. And so, if you go on building houses with three dimensions only, you will be building your life on sand. You will be stuck and you will spend a lifetime searching for light and you will spend your entire life chasing your miracle.

Does it dry up

You are living a meaningless life because you have lost the ability to recreate yourself. And your prayers are like a man shooting arrows in the dark not knowing where the target is.

Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over–

Now your life has become a shadow-life because you are living life in only three dimensions. And the third is a shadow of the fourth. Only with the fourth do you come home. Only through the fourth are you absolutely grounded in existence. Only in the fourth are you living God’s dream. Yet you are afraid to dream because [life] has brought you many disappointments. God knows your hopes have been dashed numerous times; that your dreams have been deferred. But still, you must dream.  .  .

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Dream of a world where little girls can grow up to be women who are not emotionally abused or prostituted or physically raped!

Dream of a world where little boys can grow up to be men who are not broken like their toys… who embrace their daughters and esteem their sons… who allow themselves to experience another emotion besides anger!

Dream of a world where the only Global warming is love!

Dream of rebirth and renewal. But don’t dream in color. Don’t dream in black and white. Dream in Light.

Dream dreams that heal eyes and cancers and Alzheimer’s and hurting hearts.

Dream so no one will ever need to open a Bible, a Veda, or a Quran again. For God never intended for man to simply read His word, His dream has always been for man to be His word.

Or does it explode?

This is the world we can all share if you transform yourself. And you may fail a thousand and one times, but if you go on, then success comes. It comes, certainly, because success is everybody’s birthright. It comes, certainly, because it is God’s dream for your life. You can have it, but you cannot have it cheap. You will have to pay more than pray for it. You will have to pay with your whole life. Less than that, it will be another dream deferred.

Dreams (Session 2)

In the Book of Job, Chapter 33, verse 14, it reads: “God speaketh once. . . By a dream in a vision by night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, and they are sleeping in their beds: then he openeth the ears of men, and teaching instructeth them in what they are to learn.”

God is speaking to you. God is dreaming through you. But the first thing to be understood is that you are a four-dimensional being living a three-dimensional existence. Three-dimensions are of the space time continuum, but the fourth dimension is Spirit. The fourth-dimension is a seed. The fourth dimension contains the whole of existence. And so do you. You are a miniature universe. You are a condensed version of heaven. If you could understand you in your totality, you would see yourself as God sees you. You would know that you were borne to be god over the three-dimensions. You would be confident in your place here. You would remember that you were borne to be a ruler of the three-dimensions as a birthright. And your life would commemorate the fact that you are God’s dream; that you are the fragrance lingering in His memory. But you cannot give any account of this because the fourth dimension has become a vague memory; a faint remembrance that somewhere, somehow, perhaps someday, you will again be in a good space where you know God’s dream for your life.

That is the state where the rocks and the mountains and rivers and trees are existing. That is why trees look so beautiful. That is why you go to the water for reconnection and peace. An unconscious knowing and bliss surrounds them. They are living God’s dream. It is also why virgin silence exists when you pray. Your prayer is really your dream for the three-dimensions. Your prayer resets the universe. That is why when you pray an eternal silence is felt throughout the heavens. That is why when you just think of the joyful moments in your life your mind becomes silent. It is because you created every joyful moment! Always Remember, “First the dream!” Whatever your life has become it all began with a dream. And nobody has ever been able to disturb your dream because it comes from another dimension.

But is your life flowing like the oceans you dream of? Are you walking six inches off the ground? Does your body know the pain of illness but you have never experienced pain? Does your mind know sleep but you are always alert and awake? Do you live in this world but are not of it? Are you living six inches off the ground? Or is God’s dream always running ahead of you? When will you make up your mind to be a moment in unison with God’s dream? When will you catch up to your miracle?

Dreams

“Nothing happens unless first a dream.” Carl Sandburg

• Within 5 minutes of waking, half of your dream is forgotten. Within 10, 90% is gone.
• People who became blind after birth can see images in their dreams. People who are born blind do not see any images, but have dreams equally vivid involving their other senses of sound, smell, touch and emotion.
• 70% of women have recurring dreams 65% of men do as well. Men also tend to dream more about other men. Around 70% of the characters in a man’s dream are other men. On the other hand, a woman’s dream contains almost an equal number of men and women.
• From 1915 through to the 1950s maintained that the majority of dreams were in black and white, but these results began to change in the 1960s. Today, only 4.4% of the dreams of under-25 year-olds are in black and white. All humans dream (except in cases of extreme psychological disorders) and animals dream too.

These are interesting dream facts but they say nothing about why we dream. When you were a child your dreams were so vivid that often you felt you had been transported to a mysterious place. Oftentimes, you would attempt to return to that place the very next night through the berth of wishing. You would shut your eyes as tight as you could and concentrate hoping you would once again be guided through the mysterious gate of dreams. You dreamed about faces. You dreamed about puppies. You dreamed about a baby sister or brother. You dreamed about birthdays and holidays especially Christmas. You dreamed about having superpowers and wings to fly and building rockets which explored outer space and race cars and doll houses and beautiful wedding gowns and grown-up make-believe. You dreamed about the future. And what it would look like and what you would look like and what you would be when you grew up. There was a time when your dreams boldly trespassed on this dimension. And it would feel like you had gone through something similar before or you were familiar with a place you had never been or comfortable with a new situation you had never experienced or with a person you had never previously met, like Déjà vu or a premonition.

There was a time when you entered this mysterious and fascinating world of dreams where the rules of reality did not apply. But adult dreams are different. Adult dreams attempt to unlock meaning and interpretation. Adult dreams remember to unify the mind, body and spirit. Adult dreams open doors of self-discovery. Adult dreams draw from personal life and experiences. Adult dreams give names to faces. Adult dreams symbolically intersect with paradise. Adult dreams carry essential messages. Adult dreams reach the door of nirvana. Adult dreams are the vehicle which drive us to the steps of destiny.

Adult dreams are your paradise. And Paradise is not some place, somewhere else, like some distant dream. It is a space within you. This is why you must never Postpone anything beautiful for tomorrow. This is why you must begin to Find tremendous bliss in today’s arising. Be grateful to existence, enjoy the beautiful life that surrounds you. It is God’s dream. It is your paradise. For nothing happens unless first a dream.
